What happens in a session?

Sessions typically last 75 minutes, but that can vary from person to person.  Gregg performs an evaluation to obtain client-specific information and goals.  Then clients go through his unique mental training program, which utilizes several techniques to help clients eliminate their fears, conquer negative emotions, and give the clients the success they desire.  Sessions are comfortable, and very interactive.  All sessions are confidential, and the vast majority of Gregg's sessions have taken place online, over Zoom or Skype.

How much time is there between sessions?

Gregg recommends that clients book sessions once a week, giving 5-7 days between each one.  This gives clients enough time to digest and understand the information, while also practicing the newly learned techniques.  This helps clients form the daily habits needed to ensure long-term success.  After the initial 4 session process, further coaching is available on a weekly or monthly basis.

What's the difference between your mental skills training and sport psychology work?

Although sports psychologists can differ from person to person, The Mental Toughness approach works to get to the core of the underlying problem, rather than offer normal platitudes that athletes are used to hearing.  This process offers techniques that are unique and tailored to each client's circumstances.  We recommend that you go through the free Strategy Session discussion, and then you can decide if working with Gregg would be a good fit for your needs.

What payment methods do you take?

Gregg is able to accept a credit card.  He is also set up to receive payment online via Venmo, CashApp, PayPal, and Zelle.

Do you help with tumbling blocks?

The Mental Toughness Program approach is extremely effective for gymnasts and cheerleaders experiencing the dreaded 'tumbling/skill block'.  Gregg has successfully helped athletes who have had tumbling blocks for years (yes...plural...years)!  As you go through the RACE process, we will dial in on what mental barriers are holding you back, and you will learn personalized techniques and strategies to help you overcome your block(s) and bring out your best performance.  The timing this takes is different from athlete to athlete, but most find they have overcome their block within the 4 sessions of 1-on-1 work.

I am in the off season. Does this still work or should I wait?

Gregg has worked with clients at all moments of their sport season.  While most wait until the competitive season has started, or is about to start, he has worked with many who just finished up their season or are in the middle of their sport's off season.  In fact, Gregg has seen some of the most significant, positive changes take place when an athlete is in their off season.  Mental skills are just like physical skills.  You want to be developing them as often as possible.  Winner's win in advance!

Do you work with athletes from different sports?

Absolutely!  The Mental Toughness Program is for anyone who wants to be trained to clear mental interferences, build a champion mindset, and perform to their maximum ability.  Gregg has helped athletes from all sorts of competitive sports, all over the world.  He has successfully worked with kids as young as 9 years old, all the way up to adult and professional level athletes.

Do you offer trainings for full teams or conferences?

Yes.  Gregg offers several options for working with organizations.  Workshops/Clinics are customized and tailored to meet each groups specific needs.  Gregg offers presentations for small group workshops, and speaking presentations for high school assemblies and key notes.  Gregg also offer options for working with teams on a regular basis in the offseason or competitive season.
